Arkansas
Eureka Springs
During our second day in Arkansas, Stephanie and I drove over to Eureka Springs to walk around, do a little shopping, and just take in the unique little town. Eureka has stayed pretty true to its origins. So much so that if you happen to live in the historic district, you have to get approval from the city if you want to paint your house a different color. It seems a little extreme to me, but I understand the effort and I think it pays off.
We just walked around taking in store fronts most of the time, but we did get some candy from Two Dumb Dames, some candles, a bottle of raspberry chipoltle sauce for grilling, and took a peak in a magic shop that had playing cards stapled to the low ceiling.
A day of boating
I took Stephanie with me over the weekend to go see my parents down in Arkansas. We drove down Sunday morning and stayed through til Tuesday morning. On Sunday we took the boat out and saw some sights, did some tubing, and generally had a good time.
After seeing my post, Stephanie decided that if I get to put pictures of her wiping out, she gets to put the pictures of me wiping out up on her blog. She’s been pretty busy this last month so she might not get to it for a while. But keep an eye on her blog for those shots. There’s a link at the bottom of the page to her site, Stephanie Hinkle – Life through my lens.
